Critical Care Unit
The cardiovascular unit is the post-open-heart unit that also takes on vascular patients. The cardiovascular intensive care unit takes cardiovascular critical care patients, and the intensive care unit takes all other critical care patients.
LRMC is a Solucient Top 100 cardiovascular hospital. Our services at the critical care unit include:
- Coronary artery bypass gaft (CABG) procedures—over 1,000 per year.
- Valvular surgery.
- Pacemaker and automatic internal cardiac defibrillator (AICD) placement.
- Thoracic surgery.
- Maze procedure.
- DOR procedure.
- Comprehensive care of post myocardial infarction (MI) and cardiac catherization patients.
- Mended Hearts support group.
- Endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).
- Endovascular vein harvesting.
