LRMC Intensive Care Units contain sophisticated life-protecting equipment and are staffed by highly-skilled nurses who provide concentrated care through the use of continuous visual observation and electronic monitoring of patients.
Due to the intensity of care required, visiting guidelines have been developed to assure our patients receive the proper balance of rest and medical treatment.
When you arrive, please use the intercom system located in the hallway outside of the ICU (across from the elevators on the second and third floors). Someone will let you know if you can see the patient immediately, or if you must wait.
Sometimes, a delay is necessary because the patient may be receiving treatment. If the patient is newly admitted, you may be asked to wait a few minutes so we can assess the patient and make him or her comfortable.
Visitors should log in and obtain an identification sticker from one of the following locations:
(352) 323-2088
Visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 4 to 6 p.m., and 8:15 to 10 p.m. However, visiting hours may be adjusted according to the patient’s or family’s needs.
