Our Services
Spiritual Care Services
Providing spiritual and emotional support to patients and their families, our Spiritual Care Services team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Chaplains are an integral part of the healthcare team, making daily rounds and providing competent spiritual support. Our chaplains visit all newly admitted patients, including those in critical care areas, and serve as liaisons with local community ministers.
Leesburg Regional Medical Center
Chapels are located on the first floor of both the Main Campus and North Campus hospital.
About the Chaplain
Mary Vanderplas is the Chaplain at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a B.A. in psychology and from Fuller Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. In August of 2008, Mary graduated from the Clinical Pastoral Education residency program at Florida Hospital in Orlando.

The Chapel is located next to the first floor lobby of the hospital.
About the Chaplain
Sally Bowron is the Chaplain at The Villages Health System. She graduated from The College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, Ohio with a BA in Pastoral Studies. She then received her Master’s in Theology from Xavier University, Cincinnati Ohio. In August of 2008, Sally completed her studies in Clinical Pastoral Education and began working at Mercy Health Systems as an associate Chaplain. She worked there until she moved to The Villages.
