Alliance Respiratory Services
At Central Florida Health Alliance, our Respiratory Services are organized and integrated with other departments to provide 24-hour Respiratory Therapy and Diagnostic Testing. Our mission is to identify, improve and provide safe, compassionate and quality respiratory services to meet the healthcare needs of the individuals and communities we serve.
Respiratory Therapy is the Allied Health specially employed under medical direction in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patient with deficiencies and abnormalities with the cardiopulmonary system. The practice of Respiratory Therapy includes the therapeutic and diagnostic use of medical gases and administration apparatus, environmental control systems, medications to the cardiopulmonary system, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the maintenance of artificial airways.
The term also includes testing techniques to assist in diagnosis, monitoring, treatment and research. The practice of Respiratory Care shall be performed only upon order by a physician.
The scope of services provided by Alliance Respiratory Services includes:
- Ventilation support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support provision
- ABG/CBG draw and analysis
- Arterial Line Placement
- Delivery of medical gas
- Assessment of the Pulmonary System
- Medication delivery
- Assisting in Labor & Delivery (Leesburg Only)
- Patient Education

- Pulmonary Function Testing
- Assisting with Bronchoscopy Procedures
- Pulmonary Rehabilitation (The Villages)
- Trantracheal Oxygen Therapy (Scoop Procedure)
